About
Hutchpad is a deskful of small tools that lives in one browser tab. A calculator, unit conversion, a contrast checker, a character counter, a QR maker — all on one board. Anything you don't need, close it with × and keep only what you use.
Why it exists
Doing design work, you end up searching for the same handful of things every day. How many pixels is an A4 at 300dpi. What's the height for 16:9. How do you take VAT back out of a price. Each time it's a new search, a site that's half ads, a popup to close, a number to type, and then you close it again.
So this is the tab you leave open instead. No account, nothing to install. What you type stays in your browser and never reaches a server of ours.
What's here
- The tools — close to forty boxes you can drag into the arrangement you want. Your layout and your notes stay in this browser.
- 28 guides — the things you keep looking up, written down once. Screenshot shortcuts, shrinking an image, working out time zones. In English and Korean.
- The blog — notes from building this. What shipped, what broke, and where things got stuck.
Who makes it
One person, trading as Darock. The day job is design, which is why both the tools and the guides start from "something I needed myself." There are a few children's apps on the store too.
If something's broken, or there's a tool you wish were here, write to darock.market@gmail.com.
How it makes money
Right now it doesn't. Every tool is free and there is nothing to upgrade to. Ads are planned for this site, but they won't cover the tools or pop up over them — that would defeat the point of having built it. What does and doesn't leave your browser is written out in the privacy policy.
