Printing name tags or certificates from a list

This tool takes a list — one name per line — and turns each line into its own card. Add a comma after a name and whatever follows it appears underneath in smaller text: a department, a date, whatever fits. A common header and footer, like "Certificate of Completion" and a date, apply to the whole batch, and it handles up to 300 people in one run.

One PDF, not 300 separate images

Name tags and certificates are meant to be printed. Handing someone 300 separate image files means opening each one individually before it can go anywhere near a printer, and before that there's a smaller but more immediate problem: browsers block a page from firing off dozens of downloads back to back. A handful goes through fine; a few hundred almost never does.

So once the list is filled in, everything comes back as a single PDF with one page per person, ready to hand to a print shop or send straight to a printer. If you only need one person's card again later, jump to them in the preview and pull just that one out as a PNG instead.

Three sizes

Landscape letter/A4 is built for certificates — the safest size if it's headed to a printer. Name tag is sized like a business card, made for a lanyard or a table placard. Square is meant for a screen or a social post rather than print.

Long names shrink to fit automatically

Names come in wildly different lengths — some two characters, some well past a dozen. A single fixed font size means a long name eventually runs off the edge of the card, so the text shrinks just enough to fit inside the card's width. Nobody needs to resize each name by hand.
